Sell Your Music, Direct - Changelog 19 August 2024

Direct is here so you can make more money making music. With the streaming rates dropping (to zero if you have less than 1000 streams each year), selling music directly to your fans is the best way to make more money from your tracks. With this new feature, you can add your singles and albums to your store page, you set a minimum price and fans can pay that price or more!

To add your downloads, sign in, go to your page and click the "Add" button in the new download section.

Here's a full breakdown of everything included in this 2.0 release of Direct.app:

New Features

• Today we launch the second of our new core features; Downloads! With the rates on streaming services dropping, especially for independent artists, selling your music directly to fans is a great way to make more money from your music and build direct connections with your fans. You can upload your tracks by logging in and going to your page.
• To make pricing more transparent we now explicitly show the amount of VAT you are paying in each order (if VAT is due in your country of purchase). This is visible when you’re creating new products, in the checkout and on the order and sales pages.
• We’ve updated the order email to include a full breakdown of the items you’ve purchased, shipping and VAT.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where the default tote color was white but this color is no longer available.
• Fixed a bug where the back of the hoodie image was showing the design in the wrong place.
• The wrong product colours were showing on the success page and cart.
